Cathy Maready
Cathy has been practicing interior design since 1990 and is an Allied ASID member. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Chaminade University in Honolulu and graduated magna cum laude. After traveling the globe in her younger days, Cathy began an import business where she designed her own furniture and accessory line. Upon settling back into her home state of North Carolina, she opted for a more personal level of design where she could apply her creations to specific environments. In depth technical experience with space planning and the artistic flair for the conceptual design aspect gives any project a running start. A diverse client base has allowed Cathy to work on multi-level and multi-million dollar commercial and residential projects all over North Carolina, Aspen, islands off the coast of Washington, Southern France and most currently on a 50 square mile private ranch in Wyoming.
Cathy also holds a Commercial pilots license and loves animals.

Jennifer West
Jennifer has an interior design degree from Cape Fear College and keeps everyone at Elephant Ears on the cutting edge as she is the youngest member of our staff. Her flair for color and texture are unsurpassed. Jennifer is also an Allied A.S.I.D. member and specializes in residential design. She spends her free time with two huge Old English Sheepdogs. Her boyfriend, Brian is also a gourmet chef and creates fantastic meals in their house that happens to look like a place where Bambi grew up. Their garden is phenomenal. A very talented and gifted designer.

Lou Overman
Lou is the anchor at Elephant Ears and has loved the arts since childhood. She has a degree in Art History from Salem College and another degree in Elementary Education. Lou has worked with two of the finest design firms in North Carolina and also ran her own decorative painting company. Her concentration is in residential design with a natural talent for project coordination. Lou's detailed specification with a thorough interface with vendors and sub-contractors make any job with Lou a breeze. It is easy to work hard when Lou is around as she sets the example for everyone on the project.
Her husband and two boys keep her attitude lively and adventurous. Lou is also a gourmet cook and makes dieting in our office almost impossible.

Becky Smith
Becky is the Mother of Organization and is our office manager. If anyone needs to know, at any given moment, what is happening in the world of Elephant Ears, Becky will be the source of information. She is the best problem solver in the universe and will hold your hand throughout the entire process of design paperwork and project management. None of us would survive without her.

Megan Smith
Megan grew up watching her grandmother design some of the finest southern homes in North Carolina. She followed her around from home to home and took her worldly advice on to college to study interior design for her own career. Megan graduated as social chairman of her schools ASID program at Cape Fear Community College. This path has led Megan into the creative world of commercial and residential projects that range in scope from clubhouses to 10,000 square foot residences. And her talents don't stop there. She is gifted in all styles from traditional to contemporary and transitional. Her subtle blend of these styles in one particular project make a unique look that is all her own.
In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with family and friends anywhere near the water.
